Our Vision:
Connection, Nature, and Collaboration
At the core of the Bride’s Hill Roundhouse project is a desire to connect people—to each other, to the land, and to the rich heritage of the area. This extraordinary space will host workshops, talks, and educational activities, fostering creativity and collaboration. We are working hand-in-hand with the Friends of Bride’s Mound, the South West Heritage Trust, and the Somerset Wildlife Trust to make this vision a reality.

The exceptional dedication and hard work of these organizations have been instrumental in bringing this dream to life. For over a decade, the Friends of Bride’s Mound have championed this vision, tirelessly advocating for a space that honors the historical and ecological importance of the area. Their commitment, alongside the support of our partners, is a cornerstone of the Roundhouse’s creation.
The Roundhouse will also serve as a gateway to the re-wilded landscape surrounding Bride’s Mound, a site of significant historical and ecological importance. As the earliest monastic chapel in the country, Bride’s Mound deserves recognition, and we aim to provide it with an accessible and welcoming entry point. Through this initiative, we hope to connect visitors to the Avalon Marshes and support efforts to create wildlife corridors that encourage native species to thrive.
